Rained all day.
It looked like it might hold off until the afternoon, so I got a sweet creme pie and went to eat it down by the water. But the sprinkles started right away, and I had to hide under a tree while I ate it.

Then I walked to my car, taking the long way through back streets and the very non-touristy areas.

Drove out to one of the famous beaches to see how deserted it was in the rain. Very deserted.

My plan had been to hit up all the beaches and get a collection of rainy beach photos, but I didn’t want to get that wet. So I drove to a few little towns instead. Just meandering around. At times, there was so little cell coverage that Google Maps started looking like this:

Got up into the hills, never evading the clouds and rain.

Then back down to the sea.

Not always well maintained beaches.

At one point as I was driving I started thinking of my other hobbies. Scuba was out, and I didn’t want to get good photos enough to stand in the rain. Then it struck me: pool! Not much available, but I found a place with tables.

Had a gyro platter for late lunch/early dinner. Plenty of left overs for tomorrow.

Then back to the Airbnb. Tired and with a sore neck from driving in all the rain with all the crazy Greek drivers. Watched some YouTube, caught up on email, snacked on some bread and honey. Now I think it’s time for a movie and then bed.
I haven’t heard from the dive shops. Doesn’t look good. More rain forecasted tomorrow. Fingers crossed that Saturday and Sunday clear up.
