Southeast Asia/Kenya : Day 14 : Transfer

I’ve switched to the Airbnb. No more turndown service. No hotel restaurant. No beachfront access. Getting ready to work for a couple weeks.

The apartment is nice. Not big, but big enough to spread out a little. With a lovely view from the balcony.

Hard to tell from this picture, but it’s down a very steep hill. I won’t be walking it much. The complex is connected to a big road that doesn’t look very walkable.

I tried to go to a scuba supply store. Not a dive shop, but a store that just sells everything scuba related one could want. But…

So I settled for food down the street instead. I asked for “medium” spicy. It wasn’t very spicy at all. I’m thinking about going back and ordering the same thing but asking for more spice. Just to see if they dial it down for tourists.

Otherwise it was a day of chores. Pack, check out, transfer, unpack, laundry, groceries, book dives for next weekend. And finished a TV show I started on the plane.

Got a little rain in the late afternoon. None came in the balcony so I sat at watched for a bit.

Big tasks for tomorrow are: meal prep and work prep. Vacation is over.
