Flight to Phuket wasn’t until nearly 8pm, so I got a late checkout. Spent the morning being lazy, then went to the market for some food.
Meat on a stick! The first one: bacon wrapped hotdog.. meh. The second one: grilled pork.. yum. The third one: mystery meat.. yuck. The third one sent me back to the room for a few hours while my stomach decided if it wanted to kill me or not.

Spent time wandering the market. It’s fun to compare with the markets in Vietnam and Kenya. This one was much calmer. Prices were posted so there was no haggling. Nobody was barking at you to come buy their stuff. Still too close of quarters to call it relaxing, but overall not unpleasant.

Some more food once my stomach settled. A mint milk tea, which tasted like mint ice cream. No idea what the other dish is called (nothing was in English). I pointed at a noodle type and said “average spicy.” It was the spiciest thing I’ve had yet. Still not the terrifying spice level I was fearing.

Then to the airport! Not busy at all. No good food options so I got a sub. Little did I know there would be a meal service on the plane. Non-US carriers always have better service!

Hour flight; hour drive; hour checkin + wait for bags + shower + look through photos. It’s midnight now, but I made it.

Can’t wait to see the view in the morning!
