Tourist day today! We did an organized tour. Two and a half hours of walking with a VERY extroverted guide!
First the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. It’s not that I didn’t pay attention, more that there was too much information to retain much of anything. So, unlabeled pictures to follow.

Then on to the Colosseum.

So much to see! I wonder if people 2000 years from now will take tours of our football, baseball, and basketball stadiums?

We then wandered around town. There were ruins everywhere we went.

We walked through some sort of military trade show that was open to the public. (Oh. And it was held in Circus Maximus — which once held chariot races!)

A surprisingly large amount of graffiti everywhere. Nobody seemed to care and it didn’t seem to signal a “bad area.”

Now, food. Lunch was Roman-style pizza and dinner was lasagna.

And a gelato break in between!

Now off to bed. It’s about 8pm. My flight is at 7am. I’m probably getting up around 4am. All so I can get to Nairobi at 10pm, and (hopefully) settled into my Airbnb by midnight.
