Less than an hour flight into Mombasa, then an hour plus drive to Diani.
Including a ferry because the highway and bridge to get across the river isn’t built yet.
So much more green! Even just sitting in reception and getting checked in was lovely.
A little nervous at first about what sort of room I booked. I mean, I can sleep on a twin bed, but I’d rather not.
The opposite was true: I didn’t get a too-small room. I got rooms for a full family!
I may have a family now though. This fella was waiting for me after I had walked the grounds and come back to my patio.
Then the sun set and it started to feel like vacation.
Followed by a (over seasoned) fish dinner.
Accompanied by a little band.
Driver for the dive shop comes by to collect me around 7:45am tomorrow. No work for days!
