Slept until 10am. It was only 6 hours of sleep because of how late I was up getting my luggage last night, and then a struggle to fall asleep, but still the best rest I’ve had so far.
I finally got to unpack!
I then met some colleagues for lunch at Shokudo Gigiri. Followed by a trip to a nearby shopping area where we mostly walked around to see what it was like.
We got some pann (without the betel nuts stimulant part, which taxi drivers use to keep themselves awake) to chew on while we walked.
Then some gelato.
Then I somehow agreed to go to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, the 10th tallest building in Kenya.
Up an elevator, then navigate a few hard to find staircases, until you get to an open-air area with great views!
Now it’s not quite 9pm but I’m going to go to bed. Hopefully get up at a normal hour tomorrow and be done with the worst of jet lag. There’s a chance I’ll go hang out with some other colleagues during the day, and I definitely need to buy some groceries. At some point I need to figure out how I’m going to spend my remaining weekends.
