Did one dive from the shore. There were three of us. The dive master guiding, myself, and a newly certified diver. We went to an easy dive site; not very deep.

More junk than I’d seen before.

I tried getting close to small things, but they all came out blurry. This is the least terrible one of the bunch, a sea slug on a branch. (But I still missed focus).

I like this rock underside. You see color from where the flash hit, green on the front rock which got a little spill from the light, and a blue-green in the distance where there’s no artificial light at all.

Got closer to some fish.

This one was a little too far away. Thank goodness for Photoshop!

This one got startled by the flash and immediately swam away after this picture was taken.

Got back to the dive center by noon. I hung out and chatted with one of the owners for an hour or so. He showed me his dive videos and camera setup. We looked at a map of a nearby island where there are lots of dive sites.

Then back to the apartment for food and rest.
I spent the evening down by the water, walking along the shore scouting for any photos. Nothing struck me as worth getting up early in the morning.
There were a few guys out fishing.

Finished on a bench looking over the harbor. A fishing boat made its way out for the night.
Quite relaxing.
Then back to the apartment for the night. Photo importing and editing. Charging all my batteries. Getting ready for tomorrow: a single tank boat dive. We’re going to do a better weight check with me before starting the dive. I feel like I’m very over weighted and it’s making it more difficult to find that perfect buoyancy.
