Rain and no dives, so I went for a drive.

First, though, I had to walk to my car. Fortunately, the car was there, and no tickets. I hadn’t accidentally parked somewhere I shouldn’t.

Drove to Dive Center – Turtle Beach. Lots of trees and hills.

The shop was closed! A waiter from the restaurant next door noticed me looking and pointed out that another dive shop was just a short walk away. So I went there. Good thing too: they’re diving tomorrow and I got on the list for two afternoon dives!
I went back to the guy’s restaurant, ordered a dessert, and tipped him well.

Then a drive up north. Park. Do a little hike.

Some areas are forbidden.

It was up high. A few folks were more adventurous than me.

It was all worth it though. Got to probably the most famous of the sites on Zakynthos. The beached shipwreck.

Beautiful blue water in a nice little cove.

No boats ran today, so there were no tourists down on the beach. From what I read, that water is usually crowded with boats and the beach is covered with people. But the weather was bad so the view was great.

Then I headed back. More mountains. More trees. Such a nice little island.

I took a few pictures while driving. The roads were like good country roads. Paved and wide enough for two cars, but no more.

The houses had a very different feel from both the previous islands and where I’m staying.

Got back to the apartment, did a little work, had a little dinner, and confirmed the dives for tomorrow. Also have tentative plans for afternoon dives on Sunday, but that will depend on the weather.
