Greece : Day 8 : Paros

The day started out stressful. I needed to get down to the port by 6:45 to have time to find and board my ferry to Paros. At 6:30 I’d been waiting for 15 minutes and no taxi on the TaxiBeat app. So I pushed my bag to the main road a block away and hailed one the old fashioned way.

The driver drove like a crazy person, and got me to the ferry at 6:50.

Inside was organized chaos getting everyone to their place. Pro tip: pay the little extra for Business Class. It’s tables, couches, and plenty of space.

A little tea as we got going.

It’s not a fast ship. The trip took around four hours.

Once there, all us cattle — er, people — shuffled out.

My host was waiting for me in the main square and took me to my new home for the next few weeks.

After a tour and getting settled I wandered around. People everywhere! There were enough labyrinthine back alleys to find a few empty spots.

Late lunch / early dinner was sea bass!

A lot more wandering around town. Then a stop at the supermarket for water and to see what they have. Not a lot of the brands I know, but plenty to choose from.

Back to the Airbnb and a nap. That turned into an early evening sleep. Cliff bar instead of dinner because it’s 9pm,  I’m tired, and I don’t want to go out anymore. Work tomorrow.
