Woke up to both bald eagles sitting above their nest, again being pestered.

We quickly got going, and were the only ones headed to the tunnel at such an early hour.

Then it was driving. Seward is about 90 miles away from Whittier. It’s a pretty nice drive.

And then we made it! Seward, AK, not Seward, NE. That’s a ways away.

Stopped by the High School.

Went on a little hike around some ponds.

Went to a very rocky beach with very cold water and far too many people for such odd conditions.

Checked into our very rustically themed hotel.

Took pictures of an old, washed out dock.

Spotted the current cruise ship down in the marina.

Saw them weighing today’s recreational catch.

And then, finally, sat around by the water while otters lazily made their way out to sea.

Tomorrow we have a full day cruise scheduled. Hopefully that means far less walking with just as many sights!
