London : Day 6 : Tower Bridge

Last working day. Finally! I’m in the middle of a big project so it’s been pretty nuts. But it’s been nuts in London so I’ll try to minimize my complaining.

It’s nearly 8pm as I write this. I worked until around 3:30pm then decided to go down to Tower Bridge before the 4:30pm sunset. 30 minutes on the tube plus a little walking.

I got off on the North side of the bridge, walked across it (with my raincoat on because there was a bit of a drizzle), and found a spot South and East. There was another photographer there. A guy from Scotland taking roughly the same picture I was taking. I set up to shoot the bridge and downtown, then sat and waited for the sun to start setting.

I did a quick scan of the photos and a few look pretty good! I may not have to go back for a retry.

I started heading back around 5:30. Rush hour in London is awful. The trains were packed. Sandwiched. Back to front to back to front. Not my favorite. Driving during rush hour is bad, but you don’t have to touch strangers in hot and sticky train cars. Eww.

Fish & Chips for dinner from the highest rated place in Notting Hill. I unknowingly went to the 3rd highest rated place on my first day here. I can see the 2nd highest rated from the window of my apartment.

Two open clamshells, which do you think got my primary attention?

Now it’s a few more hours of work before two days of free time.
