The day started slow and relaxing, with some new breakfast options. I started with some Vegemite on toast and finished with eggs and kangaroo sausage. Then we went into the city to show our UK visitor the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It was a quick stop: photo op then back on the train for the main item on our itinerary: the Bondi to Coogee walk.

We only did about half the walk. We went with the baby and stroller. The various websites said it would be fine, but it wasn’t. Steep hills and lots of stairs. So we made it as far as Bronte beach where we stopped for (a very late) lunch at a fish and chips shop.

See that yellow stuff sprinkled everywhere? That’s chicken salt. A kind of seasoned salt that makes fish and chips taste like magic! Or at least that’s how it seemed to me after all the Australians had been talking it up.
I decided not to stay longer because the sun wouldn’t set in a good place for photos. We headed home where I’m planning on eating a bunch of candy, reading, and getting a good night’s sleep.
